St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be hosting the "To Jesus Through Mary" Marian Conference on Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5, 2018. This Diocese of Springfield - Cape Girardeau event will be free of charge and open to the public! Make plans now to attend! Free babysitting will be provided (with more details coming soon).

Presentations & Speakers

Fr. Tom Sullivan 
PRESENTATIONS: 1) To Jesus through Mary, 2) Answering Mary's Call & 3) Consecration
Fr. Thomas Sullivan was born in 1959 and is a native of Havertown, Pennsylvania. In 1998, Fr. Thomas became a member of the Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy. He is a 2004 graduate of Holy Apostles Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut and was ordained to the priesthood in May 2004. Prior to his joining the Fathers of Mercy, Fr. Thomas owned and operated his own roofing company and worked extensively with the Missionaries of Charity throughout the world and with the Padre Pio Center in Barto, Pennsylvania. The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “the Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the French people after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The generalate is located in South Union, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the country. During the mission, Fr. Thomas will encourage and challenge the parish community to make a stronger, deeper commitment to Christ, His Church, and the Sacraments.

Tim Francis
PRESENTATIONS: 1) The Real Presence - Our Most Merciful Gift & 2) Reality of the Eucharist
Tim Francis is founder of You Shall Believe Ministries, an organization whose mission is to make you aware of miracles that are extraordinary, perceptible to the senses, and produced by God in a religious context that you might “believe” and become more intimate with Our Lord, our Lady…Our Holy Mother Church. At Parish events, Tim draws crowds of lukewarm Catholics and Mass attendees, as well as the fallen-away Catholics, non-Catholic Christians, agnostics, atheists, and others from nearly every religious background. In fact, up to 70% of the audience at a live Parish Presentation event may be made up of people who are not currently or seriously practicing the Catholic faith.

Dcn. Patrick O’Toole
PRESENTATIONS: 1) Four Last Things & 2)  Mary's Humility, Obedience, & Trust
Deacon Patrick O’Toole is the oldest of six children and was born in Kansas City, Kansas. He was ordained into the permanent diaconate in the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois, in 2009. He served the diocese for 5 years as the director of Marriage and Family Life and is currently the director of the Villa Maria Catholic Conference and Retreat Center situated on Lake Springfield. Patrick and his family belong to St. Maurice Parish in Morrisonville, Illinois, and he serves the pastoral unit of St. Maurice, St. Mary and St. Raymond as a deacon. He became a Global Fellow in 2010, and traveled with CRS to Ethiopia in 2011. He and his wife, Daniele, are blessed with 14 children, and 2 grandchildren.  Deacon speaks at Parishes and Conferences all over the Midwest.

John LaBriola

John LaBriola is the founder of the Catholic Family Foundation, an organization committed to healing, strengthening and advancing Catholic families. He is a dynamic speaker who passionately communicates the truth of Catholicism in a loving and accessible manner, without apology, without compromise. John’s goal is to help Catholics of all ages deepen their love and knowledge of the one, true Church. He has appeared on EWTN television, EWTN Radio, Focus Worldwide Network television, Relevant Radio and many local Catholic radio networks and affiliates. His most recent book is entitled Onward Catholic Soldier: Spiritual Warfare According to Scripture, the Church and the Saints. Relying heavily on Sacred Scripture and the advice of the Saints, the book presents the concepts of Spiritual Warfare in a simple, straight forward and safe manner. He is the author of the apologetics book, Catholic Truth for Catholic Teens: A Guide to Embracing and Defending Your Faith. This book helps Catholics, especially younger ones, to understand not only what they believe, but also why they believe it. He is the former host of St. Joseph Radio Presents, a weekly, worldwide radio program that can be heard over EWTN Radio that helps Catholics spread the truth of the Catholic faith. He has also been a guest host for Catholic Answers Live radio program.He is a frequent speaker at parish missions, Marian conferences, Homeschool Conferences, Men’s and Women’s conferences and retreats, Legatus meetings and Catholics@work meetings.

Clients include Red Cross, University of Notre Dame, KCKS Archdiocese, KCSJ Diocese, Signature Inn, Hampton Inn, Medicine & Education Fields.Founder of Face of Mercy, Multi Instrumentalist (voice, guitar, bass, piano)/Producer, Arranger, and Composer, Speaker for Catholic Athletes For Christ, Notre Dame Offensive Lineman under Coach Lou Holtz/ Played in all four major bowl games in consecutive years; Orange, Sugar, Cotton, and Fiesta. Recorded with legendary musicians from Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, The Allman Brothers Band, and Genesis.
